Men’s Section Report

Half-way Mark
So we’re now halfway through the season and what an interesting season it has been so far and from what it looks like is that it is only going to get better. We now have 6 out of 7 of our men’s teams inside the top 4. Hard work i s paying off across the board with results putting teams in the right directions. But we must not become complacent as it is only the half-way mark and there is still a lot of hockey to go. We wish everyone the best as we keep progressing through this season.

SL2 – 4th Its all coming together for our SL boys. With 3 wins and 1 draw out of the last four games they are certainly heading in the right direction and after the win in round 9 over Kew has now seen them crack into the top 4. Fantastic result so far and its showing the hard work has paid off as things are now coming together for the boys. With the next few rounds looking promising for them consistency could play a key for them. So let’s give them all the support we can and keep them heading in the right direction

PC – 1st The Pennant C team have begun flexing their muscles in this grade. They have now taken 1st place but with a devastating win over the top side Kew in round 9. They have made a claim to the rest of the teams in Pennant C on where they are heading and what they are capable of. Still win only 1 loss for the first half of the season is an awesome start to the year. Keep it going guys.

PE – 7th After a very rough start to the season for these boys things are starting to look promising for them. They have been unlucky with results the pa st couple of rounds but after their demolition of Old Xaverians in round 9 shows that these boys are now hitting their straps. We wi sh them all the best for the second half of the season that it provides better results for them and get them heading where they want to be

M1W – 3rd Another solid start for these boys this year and are currently holding down 3rd position. They are only 4 points from top spot and the entire group is tightening up with only 8 points separating 1st from 8th. This group is going to be a very hot battle during the second half of the season and few more wins will help these boys hold off their competition for a spot in the top 4.

M2W – 3rd Consistency has been the key focus here for the M2W boys and it is paying off. They are 3rd place at the moment, with the top 4 is getting tighter. Working as a close knit group has seen them be the equal 2nd best defensive team in their group for goals scored against them. Teams are having to earn it when they come up against these boys. With a couple of interesting games coming up for them could see them solidify their position in the top 4. We wish you all the best boys.

M3W – 4th These boys just keep plugging away in this grade. Their determination is paying off with a good first half of the season in being able to hold 4th spot at the turn towards the run home. With a few more good results would help them solidify their spot inside this top 4 which would be fantastic considering their luck last year. Good luck going forward boys

M4W – 3rd This is an amazing achievement for our boys in Metro 4. Being the first year playing together for most of them team not only are they showing some good wins they are also being consistent and its paying off for them. They are currently holding 3rd position in this grade and are working hard to make sure they are there come September time.
