There was no resting on their laurels for Kookaburra team members Jamie Dwyer and Mark Knowles after their recent contributions to the Aussies winning their fifth consecutive Champions Trophy – the annual event fought out by the world’s top 8 rated nations.

The following night, 5 time World Player of the Year Dwyer, and Kookaburra Co-Captain Knowles were out at the Footscray Hockey Club running a series of coaching clinics for Footscray’s talented junior section.

The trip out west re-united the pair with fellow Athens gold-medallist Travis Brooks, coach of Footscray’s men’s Premier League squad. Dwyer and Brooks scored the winning goals in Australia’s drought-breaking 2-1 gold medal play-off win over the Netherlands.
