It’s time for all Members/Families to consider what they can do to contribute to our imminent stewardship of Australia’s biggest hockey event – the Australian Veterans Championships – coming to FHC between 28th September – 10th October with preparation days 26th and 27th September and a pack up day 11th October.
How about planning ahead and getting one adult per family to donate a day of their time to the Carnival an RDO, Rec leave day or the like? Winning the right to host the event is a fantastic coup for our Club, but it’s a MASSIVE event, and we will only capture it’s promise if all members do something to help.
We have a number of members who have taken 2 weeks annual leave to volunteer, thank you and are seeking anyone who can assist coordinate a stall for half a day or a whole day. Please go and find the big sign-up sheet that is on the window near the F2 side of the pavilion – please add your name in as many boxes as you can. Or respond to the “Australian Vets Champs Helpers Roster – call for help” e-mail from Nicole Virtuoso. There are over 2400 hours of required volunteer hours across 13 days of tournament and 3 prep/pack up days.

Ticket Price drop

Due to public outcry the price of the tickets has been dropped to $75. How can we do this? Now there are no drinks included and they must be purchased at bar prices.

All Senior and Vets members should have received a 2009 FHC 75th Commemorative Calendar with their Information Packs, some junior families will be sent their calendars shortly. FHC would like to sincerely thank Judy Newton for donating hours of her time to do the artwork!

Junior & Senior hockey matches all day. Food and Beverages, Stalls & Activities for the whole family. State League Men and Women play 2pm & 3.30pm

The 75th AGM of the Footscray Hockey Club Inc. has been announced. It will be held at the McIvor Reserve Pavilion, Fogarty Avenue Yarraville, on Sunday December 7th 2008 at 10.00am for a 10.30am Start.
