Footscray Hockey Club are very saddened to hear of the peaceful passing of Life Member Graham Whinney, which comes so soon after his wife Dalma Whinney passing. Graham was an extremely dedicated and hard working member of our club, even until recent times assisting with the Thursday night meals in the canteen.
Over the last few years he has been heavily involved as a Masters player and assisting off field on Wednesday Masters nights. He has played over 800 games for the red, white and blue and has been on the board and various committees throughout his service to the club.
Always a friendly face and would love to ask how things are travelling. Our sincere condolences go to his sons Mark and David and extended family and friends. Graham and Dalma, together again.
All FHC teams will be wearing black arm bands in his honour this weekend.
