THAT’S A WRAP
Well that’s a wrap……nearly. The 2018 season has certainly been busy and hopefully enjoyable to the majority. Even if your team’s results were not what was anticipated, we hope that your experience at FHC was a positive one. Please provide your section administrator some feedback on the season when you get a chance, so that 2019 planning can be undertaken effectively.
PREMIERSHIPS
Well done to Men’s Metro A, U14 Shield Girls and U10 A Girls for winning flags this season. To our Men’s & Women’s Premier League teams and Women’s Reserves, fantastic to see you both in finals campaigns. Several other Pennant and Junior teams also put their best foot forward in finals, our congratulations to you.
PAVILION IS A GO
The pavilion redevelopment is a go! The builders will occupy the entire building site for a period of approximately 10 months by the end of this month and this will have a large disruption to the facilities for the beginning of the 2019 season. Council will provide a portable canteen, toilets and change rooms. The big job ahead is the clearing out of the pavilion with a Working Bee being held over 3 days this weekend, 6th, 7th and 8th of October. If you are able to lend a hand please turn up, even if it is for an hour or two.
WEST GATE TUNNEL IMPACTS FHC
The West Gate Tunnel Project will impact access to FHC from the 3rd until the 13th of October, the section of road on Fogarty Avenue between Wembley Ave and FHC will be closed. The FHC car park will be able to be accessed if you come via Williamstown Rd and The Avenue.

FHC have been honoured with receiving the ‘Community Club of the Year’ award at the Hockey Victoria Awards Night. Phil Merriman (coach), Casey Hammond, Sarah Breen, Olivia Colasurdo and Carly James were awarded All Starts Team Medals on the night also.
LAST SOCIAL FUNCTION
The last social function in our current pavilion will be held this Friday 5th October 7.30pm as the Men’s Premier League Vote Count Night. $25 (entry, nibbles and 2 drinks). $15 14yrs – 18yrs. This event will also be fundraising for Josh D’Arcy to assist with his Australian School Boys Team tournament. Get along and enjoy a couple of drinks at the club for the last time this year.
PRESENTATION NIGHT
Don’t forget to purchase your Presentation Night Tickets for 7pm Saturday 20th October at The Kooringal Golf Club in Altona.
