To coincide with NAIDOC week and our HUGE NAIDOC day Saturday 9th July @ FHC, the club has partnered with Welcoming Clubs and Melbourne Uni to run ‘Standing Together Against Racism in Sport’ sessions this coming week 8.30pm – 9.30pm Tue 5th July and 8.30pm – 9.30pm Thu 7th July at the club.
All members are welcomed and encouraged to attend the training and pizza will be provided.
The session is all about providing us with the tools to tackle racism and discrimination in hockey. It’s focused on what to do when we hear any discrimination, which could be from officials, opposition players or spectators.
We want to be a club where everyone takes a stand against discrimination so we encourage all players to attend.
