Annie Anderson sadly passed away suddenly last year. Annie was known by many in the hockey community, you may have seen Annie’s ‘Hooked on Hockey’ van pride of place by the side of a hockey pitch on any given weekend.
Annie helped many junior Goalkeepers through her work in the development programs, Academy and State Teams. Annie’s ability to connect personally and the passion to teach the kids tailored to their individual needs, was truly amazing.
Footscray’s own junior goalkeepers Jye Walters, Baden Jones and Elliott Thomson in particular were students of Annie’s and were saddened by her passing.
