It all started for Mathew Gale at Footscray Hockey Club in 1977, when he was in juniors. Two years later, he played his first seniors game in 1979, and he is now playing both Men’s and Master’s hockey.
The Gale family needs no introduction for their contribution to the club. Matt joins his dad Leon in the 600 club, and his brother Andrew played 247 games for FHC—over 1400 club games combined!
Matt will play his 600th today in Pennant D out at RMIT but is also playing in the Masters 45+ Midweek.
