The Junior Presentation functions were split into 2 evenings with the U6, U8 and U10’s celebrating their seasons with a lovely presentation function in the clubrooms receiving a medal and photo of their team mates. They enjoyed nuggets and chips or hotdog and chips with a drink and danced to a disco.

The U12, U14, U16’s was a more formal affair with teams sitting in tables where awards were presented to best and fairest, runners up and coaches award. Junior members and families enjoyed a burger, chips and drink.

Congratulations to Ruby Gorton and Ashton Schram for taking out the best and fairest of their respective U16 shield teams, elevating them to our Junior Girls and Junior Boys club champions.

Congratulations to our Junior Club People, Esme Titley and Callum Wickson. This year they have both assisted in our Come & Try sessions, coached an Under 8 – Hockey 5’s team each, umpired Under 10 Hockey 5’s and volunteered whenever help was needed. They are both great examples of our juniors giving back to their club.

Undoubtedly the highlight of the functions was celebrating every single junior player who brings so much to our club no matter their experience or ability and the coaches and team managers who provide them with the best experience they can.

A special mention to the 4 shield flags won by our U12 Girls, U14 Girls, U14 Boys and U16 Boys. A new club record (and we believe an association record, still confirming with Hockey Victoria to be the case).

Thank you to our life members who were in attendance and helped present the awards and to Sally and Karen and the canteen helpers for feeding the masses. Well done to Junior Director Cindy Blay for being a terrific MC and to all the coaches who spoke so well on the evening, thoroughly representing the core values and achievements of FHC.
