Footscray Hockey Club is ecstatic to announce the appointment of Tim Strapp as the Men’s Premier League Coach and Junior Director of Coaching for the next 4 years at the kennel. He is synonymous with high performance hockey as the current Women’s VIS coach and Hockey Club Melbourne coach. Tim has extensive experience coaching Premier League Men’s & Women’s, numerous Victorian teams and high performance hockey academies.
Tim’s strong vision to develop positive club and team culture and his keen eye on hockey players executing the basics well will ensure FHC build on and progress with their current successes. His professional career in fitness and training at the elite level adds expertise to the conditioning components of our game. Tim and the current Women’s Premier League coach Alex Shirley are already well connected, and they will culminate in strong leadership for each section of the club.
We welcome Tim, Laura and his children Emily, Hamish and Madeleine to our club.
