Hockey is still occurring, Hockey Victoria have released the following statement…
‘On the advice of public health experts, from 6pm tonight, Tuesday 25 May 2021, additional COVIDSafe measures will be put in place across Greater Melbourne to help keep Victorians safe.
Face masks must be worn whilst indoors (i.e. clubhouse, changerooms, etc) in Greater Melbourne from 6pm tonight. The face mask requirement applies to everyone aged 12 years and older.
Please note that the Restricted Activities Direction and Stay Safe Directions have not yet been updated, hence there is no specific information available to guide community sport at this stage.
However, training can go ahead tonight ensuring that members wear face masks at all times while indoors (i.e. clubrooms).
It is important that all hockey venues and facilities are strictly enforcing check-in protocols and that all of our participants practice good hygiene. If unwell, please stay at home.’
A stong reminder that you must check in at Footscray Hockey Club upon entry using our QR code system. Parents, please ensure that your children sign in, or you sign in for them.
It is recomended that spectators social distance 1.5m and if unable to do so, please wear a mask. There is hand sanitiser at the front gate, and in the clubrooms.
Stay safe everyone.
