Congratulations to Paul Duffy on playing his 300th club game this weekend!!
Known simply as ‘Duffy’ around the club, in his heyday won a 2nd XI B&F and was a hardworking midfielder that was whippet-like and would run all day.
He enjoys a VB or a coke, and is keen to know your name. Duffy does remember names, as you just have to challenge him to think about it and he gets it right. Not too many things worry him now with his usual comment “Why whinge?“
His passion for the game and love for the club has never waned and although it has taken a long time to get to 300 games, he has been a valued club member and a friend of all who have known and played with him over 30+years. We are so proud to have our Metro 1 team that is willing and able to help people like Duffy achieve their milestones.
