FHC has been saddened to hear the passing of a hockey great, Annie Anderson. Annie is widely known to the Victorian & South Australian hockey community servicing the South West and North West Victorian hockey community. Annie’s passion for hockey was infectious. She was known by many of our members.
There was not a weekend of hockey go by in Regional Victorian hockey where Annie’s Hooked on Hockey van was not pride in place by the side of a hockey pitch. Annie loved playing and coaching the game.
Annie was also the heart of HVs Goal Keeper Development as part of our Academy Programs, GK Development Programs and State Team Selections. Annie was simply brilliant with the kids applying the upmost energy and support to the emerging goal keepers in Victoria.
Well done to out U16 girls indoor team who showed respect to Annie and for those that come before us who have helped hockey as a sport. Annie worked so hard promoting and growing our sport!
