It is with sadness that Footscray Hockey Club hear of the passing of long time hockey mum and grandmother Sylvia McColl.
Mother in law to Wayne D’Souza and mother of Liza D’Souza, Peter McColl and Darren McColl. She is grandmother to 5 D’Souza & McColl grandchildren, all 5 having a go at the sport and some still current members.
A hockey mum to multitudes of our 40s something players in their junior days at Johnson Reserve. She was a warm, bubbly and upbeat person who really cared about you and your family. She worked and volunteered at West Footscray Primary School and there was a double connection for many of our members.
Our condolences to the family and hockey community.
