Four Footscray players joined their teammate and club/Official Australia photographer Rick Wiseman over in Europe for the Hockey World Cup.
Shoob, Ethan, Jake and Max travelled over with their Maribyrnong Secondary School Sports Academy to support the Aussie teams, play against local clubs in Belgium and Amsterdam and learn more about the way the sport is played in that hockey mad part of the globe.
The team had the opportunity to meet the Kookaburra coach and team who were very generous with their time and knowledge.
Hockey Club Melbourne men’s coach, Jesse Workman led and guided the team on their journey.
The kids have had a brilliant time playing at some very impressive clubs which showed them wonderful hospitality.
While Rick is staying on to capture the Aussies, the kids arrive home this week, hopefully full of energy ready to make a charge at the finals for the doggies
