Footscray Hockey Club celebrated another fantastic season of junior hockey with three presentation evenings, recognising the achievements, development and contributions of our junior players, coaches, team managers and volunteers throughout 2026.
This year, our Junior Presentation Nights were held across three evenings, with our U6, U8 and U10 players celebrating together, followed by a dedicated evening for our U12 teams, and a final evening recognising our U14, U16 and U18 players.
The evenings provided a wonderful opportunity to come together as a club, reflect on the season and celebrate the efforts and achievements of our junior players, both on and off the field.
A special congratulations to Sage Toussaint and Jacob Young, who were named our 2026 Junior Club Champions, recognising their outstanding seasons.
Congratulations also to Maggie Warren and Patrick McKellar, our 2026 Junior Club People of the Year. These awards recognise the important contributions our young members make to the club beyond their own playing commitments.
We also congratulate Chiara Virtuoso, recipient of the 2026 Junior Umpire Award, recognising her contribution to umpiring at Footscray.
While individual awards and milestones are wonderful achievements, the highlight of our presentation evenings is celebrating every junior player who contributes to our club, regardless of their experience or ability. From our youngest players learning the game through to our older juniors developing their skills and leadership, each player is an important part of the Footscray Hockey Club community.
A huge thank you to our junior coaches and team managers for the time, energy and commitment they invest in supporting our players throughout the season. Thank you also to our Junior Committee, volunteers, families and everyone who helped organise and deliver the presentation evenings and another successful season of junior hockey.
Congratulations to all our 2026 award recipients and milestone achievers!
