Congratulations to one of our Life Members, Heather Shaw, who plays her 700th game at 12:30 this Saturday at FHC.
Heather joined the club in 1995, having started playing hockey on the paddocks at Moe High School.
Since then, she has never hesitated to volunteer her time. From the early days as team manager for her three boys’ teams, umpire coordinator, umpire, canteen manager, and also being the team’s chauffeur. Heather was also our uniform coordinator for a decade.
One of her most important roles is cooking Thursday night meals for after men’s training. Heather also prepares the after-match food for both the men’s and women’s Premier League squads.
When she’s not busy with her other roles, Heather plays Womens Metro, Womens Masters, and Men’s Masters
Heather has always been a welcoming, friendly face to our club and our hockey community. Have a great game, Heather.
