Over the past couple of years a number of our dedicated members have positioned FHC as the “go to” hockey club when it comes to conducting hockey programs for the physically or intellectually disabled. Because of FHC’s achievements in this space in recent years, it was no surprise when Hockey Victoria recently chose FHC to partner with them in running a trial ‘Access All Abilities’ after-school hockey program in the forth-coming ‘term 4’.

FHC volunteers have previously worked in conjunction with Hockey Victoria and Scope Victoria in 2017 offering a series of hockey clinics with modified games. The success of this program led to FHC becoming the new venue for the Northern Special Schools Sports Association hockey competition. Our dedicated volunteers have given the Footscray Hockey Club a highlighted name amongst our hockey community, prestige in front of our municipal council and recognition within the world of government agencies.

Special thanks for their role in inspiring all of the AAA attendees: Julie-Anne and Ally Sheehan, Georgia and Sam Cutrale, Carly James, Kirby Smith and Josh Walsh.
